The Role of the Parish Council in Planning

Tolleshunt Major Parish Council has requested that it is consulted on planning applications. It means that Maldon District Council (the Local Planning Authority) must consult the Parish Council on planning applications for development in the Parish Council area. However. the Parish Council does not have power to refuse or approve an application. It can only provide comments back to the District Council.

Click on the ‘View Documents’ button to open a list of documents and plans. Select an item you want to see by clicking on any of the underlined titles.

If you just want to see recent planning applications highlight the parish name then complete the Date Valid From and Date Valid To sections for the period you want to view and click the search button.
